Apple Crumb Pie

Simple and Good-made with ingredients you have on hand. Use a store bought pie shell, and the crumb topping makes it even easier. Perfect for company too, served with vanilla ice cream. I’ve made it many, many times and love it every single time I make it.

Apple Crumb Pie


  • 1-9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • 7 medium granny smith apples cored, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 c flour
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter sliced


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Fill the unbaked crust with apples.
  2. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle on top of apples slices in pie shell.
  3. Cut butter into the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and flour, which have been mixed together until coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle on top of pie. Bake 40-45 minutes, or until apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
