I remember when we’d go to those home parties, and they would bake up a crescent ring like this. I added some refried beans to mine, and it’s still a favorite lunch for my family and friends, and especially for my 10-year old grandson. It’s also easy and fun for kids to make.
The first step is to take 2 cans of crescent rolls and lay them out on a baking sheet like this. Then take refried beans, cheese, taco meat and layer them in any order you’d like. No real recipe needed-just use your eyes to know how much you’d like.
I’ve discovered that if you keep the dough cold until right before you’re ready to use it, it’s much easier to work with.
Then you fold up the tips like this photo above and tuck them into the center. Bake at 350 until golden. Then slice and serve with guacamole, salsa, sour cream, whatever you’d like. Some even like ranch dressing. It serves 4 generously, 6 for normal appetites.
